Welcome Jess Cumbie Photography

jesscumbieImages for a Cure welcomes Jacksonville, FL photographer Jessica Cumbie! When Jessica emailed me to participate, I was thrilled to have another Jacksonville photographer join on (that makes 4 now!). I’m such a blog junkie, so as soon as I get a new participating photographer, I wander over to their blog to read their words of photography, life, work and fun. Jessica’s blog is full of great photos, life stories and beautifully captured events! She’s a talker – and I love that about her! Make sure you check out her blog, and send some thanks to her for her participation!

Why did you want to get involved with Images for a Cure?
My Grandmother is currently in remission from Breast Cancer.

How has Breast Cancer (or any cancer) made an impact on your life?
The word Cancer was first uttered in my family when my Uncle was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. After battling the disease for a little more than a year he passed away in 2007. Shortly after his diagnosis my grandmother was also diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She’s been through a lumpectomy and chemo and for now, thank God, is in remission.

Freebie! Ask yourself any question and answer it. It can be fun, completely unrelated (if you’d like) or something you’d just like to share about yourself with our readers.
I’m certainly no good at these things, the about me section was actually written by my husband. I’m hoping that my participation in this event will help The Breast Cancer Research Foundation find a cure for this disease that robs so many people of their loved ones prematurely.
