Why did you want to get involved with Images for a Cure?

I wanted to get involved with Images for a Cure because it is a tangible way for me to help. I’m a doer and a fixer. I may not be able to fix cancer but Images for a Cure lets me be a ‘doer’ for cancer and also lets other people be ‘doers’ too.

How has Breast Cancer (or any cancer) made an impact on your life?

It seems that no matter who you are these days, you know someone who has been affected by cancer. Personally, I have an aunt who was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo treatment, including a mastectomy. Additionally, the mother of one of my very close friends died of breast cancer in her early 40’s. Another friend’s very young (under 3 years old) daughter was diagnosed with, treated for, and beat, leukemia.

What is your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievement would have to be having the guts to stand up for the truth and stick to my morals even when it isn’t the most convenient, or easiest, thing to do. Personal integrity is a big deal to me.
