Images for a Cure welcomes Pittsburgh, PA photographer Caryn Azure! Following the styles of movies, bands, and fashion, Caryn gravitates towards a type of photojournalism that she calls unscripted photojournalism. She has a sense for people and really brings out the best in them. You can tell just by reading on her website and never having met her that she really loves what she does, and nothing gets better than that!

Why did you want to get involved with Images for a Cure?
I love it when opportunities come my way to use photography as a means to promote healing, whether that be emotional or physical.
How has Breast Cancer (or any cancer) made an impact on your life?
My aunt died of cancer when I was pretty young. Since then, cancer has affected me in a more distant way, as I have quite a few friends who have been affected personally.
What’s coming in the mail tomorrow?
My new camera!! A Nikon D300s – with video! My first love is photography, but lately, I have been so moved by video work, and I can’t wait to play!
Details of her sessions:
I am offering a special rate of $150 for 5 IFAC sessions.
