Images for a Cure welcomes Springfield, MO photographer and general cool-guy, Ben Lawson! He says it best on his website, “eclectic mix of fashion photography styling and knack of capturing candid moments” – which pretty much sums up his super modern, vintage style of editing and special captured moments. I always love meeting photographers who just ooze passion and love for their art – and Ben is just that kind of photographer! It’s been a pleasure getting to know his work, and I hope you’ll take a minute and check him out. Send him some love on his Facebook Fan page and thank him for participating!

Why did you want to get involved with Images for a Cure?
I am always looking for ways to give to the community in some fashion. Giving of my talents is the most rewarding way I can accomplish this.
How has Breast Cancer (or any cancer) made an impact on your life?
My immediate family and I have been very fortunate, but I have had two grandparents die of cancer. With one grandfather in particular was difficult to experience his slow demise. No one should have to experience what he went through, and I daresay what the rest of the family endured as well.
If you’ve learned one thing in life you’d like to share, what would it be?
We only have one life to live, and the choices we make daily have a great impact on the quality of that life, for yourself and for others. When we have the opportunity, no matter how small, to make life better for someone it’s almost always the right choice to make.
