I was so excited to get an email today from The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® thanking everyone for their participation! I really wanted to share it with you, and thank you for being a part of this fantastic event!

What was once a vision and a passion for making a difference, has turned in to the perfect event to share our talents and show that we can make a difference together! I’m so pleased that we have extended to 46 participating photographers, 19 states and 2 countries!

Please help me in continuing to spread the word to our colleagues and friends through the duration of the event. Together, we can accomplish big things I thank you, and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® thanks you!

To all the supporters of “Images for a Cure”:

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is honored to be the beneficiary charity for the “Images for a Cure” fundraiser, taking place on October 11, 2009.

It is with the support and passion of people like you and events such as these, that BCRF is able to support the research projects of 166 pioneering scientists worldwide. Our grantees are making exciting progress in the fight  against breast cancer. Their breakthrough accomplishments include the development of new drugs and treatment methods; the discovery of genetic markers for breast cancer; the detection of fundamental properties of breast cancer “stem” cells, or tumor-origination cells; the inception and completion of national and international breast cancer clinical trials; and the discovery of links between breast cancer risk and lifestyle factors, such as diet and exercise. These important achievements are only possible through the commitment of donors like you.

BCRF is committed to ensuring that at least 85% of each dollar donated goes directly towards supporting these important research and awareness programs. Accordingly, the vast majority of the money raised through “Images for a Cure” will go where it is most needed—research. You are all an inspiration for your dedication to our cause.
